Nearly in the heart of the major city Nagoya is the Gokiso church. The community celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2008. For this accation it has been decided to purchase a valuable church organ from the German Organ Company Jaeger & Brommer.

News from our new Church Organ in Nagoya/Japan

Our new organ for the Gokiso church is finished and to the community with the today's day handed over. All were pleased with us about our organ. May the sounds of our organ the community and the organists for the praise of God always join in and for building to everything serve. In the later afternoon we began then our home journey.

Mr. Prof.Meyer Fiebig bring along a small composition for the today's day particularly: “Model for the demonstration of the Jaeger & Brommer - organ in the Gokiso church, Nagoya”. With the small melody he presented then the different stops.

Organ building master Heinz Jaeger describes the individual stops of the organ, Ichiro Mochizuki practice-set and Professor Meyer Fiebig lets the registers ring out.

After the service we presented our new organ. Mr. professor Thomas Meyer Fiebig demonstrated the sounds of the organ in its skillful way.

After the Prälidium by Mrs. Hattorie, Mr. Katsuji Shibuya welcomes the community and all guests. He refers to the special day with and for the new organ for the Gokiso church.

Sunday, 2.10.2008 All Souls: At 10.15 o'clock clock local time begins in the Gokiso church the service with organ-dedicates and following organ prasentation. Mrs. Hattori opens the service with her organ play.

At the end of our work today organist Mrs. Hattori plays our organ in the GOKISO CHURCH. She speaks something german and was throughout the week each day with us.

Mrs. Takahashi was at 19 o'clock with us in the church. She played the organ with works of Brook, Sweeling, Pachelbel and further. Our first concert! She told also of her visits at valuable organs. Like that she was this year at different Arp Schnitger organs. She prefers the north Germans organ sound and was also very content with our work. Our “small” organ sounds completely as a large one!

1.11.08: At 12 o'clock came Mrs. Takahashi to our organ - likewise from the proximity of Tokyo. She is the organ expert for this municipality. She examines exactly the organ and the organ-sound.

1.11.08: In the morning Mrs.Hayashi from Tokyo visits our organ. She heard from our work and simply came, in order to become acquainted with us and our organ. She told also that she was in the summer to the master courses with Prof.Szathmary in Ernen/Switzerland and in Holland. The sound of our organ pleased her so much that she played nearly 1 hour at our organ.

Saturday 1.11.2008 All-Hollows-Day:  Early in the morning we must get again our “taxi”. Mr. Taizou Murakami parks his car over night in the “car-tower” of our hotel. This time our car was in the 11. floor above…

31.10.08: In the evening we were on invitation of Prof.Meyer Fiebig and Aya Yoshida with dinner with one the best Sushi master and cooks in Nagoya.

31.10.08: The work is done and we are quite satisfied!

31.10.08:Now we can start to clean-up the church …

“Organ autumn Nagoya” is led by Mrs. Aya Yoshida. She help us this week by translating our answers to the organists. She is the founder of “organ autumn Nagoya” with a big concert and workshop program. The hole program you can find in a few days at this site.

31.10.08: To the conclusion of the day visits  us Mr. organ professor Meyer Fiebig from Tokyo. He came with the group of organists, which pursued since Monday our work. He was very much enthusiastic of the sound and the many sounded possibilities. He demonstrated us all our organ very well. We were pleased about it more than!

Friday, 31.10.2008: The tuning-work is finally now completely and correct. Ichiro Mochizuki holding the key while Mr. Jaeger tuning the pipes.

29.10.2008: On invitation of Mr and Mrs. Mochizuki sen. we enjoyed a marvelous meal in the heart of Nagoja for the conclusion of the today's work. Master building master Heinz Jaeger is pleased about good co-operation with his Japanese colleagues.

Wednesday 29.10.08: It is 20,30 o'clock and a successful working day goes to end. By the outstanding assistance of Ichiro Mochizuki, Maiko Yamauchi and Hiroshi Yamauchi (all three learned organ builders) we came very well forward.

The organ “stands” under wind and the machanic is adjusted. Already 7 stops plays. The organ technology functioned smoothly and the marvelous new sounds fulfill the Gokiso church. Everything goes after plan, so that the new organ can be finished until Sunday 2.Nov.2008.

An actually picture of this evening: The time difference between germany and japan amounts 8 h. The pipes in the front are completely build in. At next time the tuning begins.

Third day assembly in Nagoya:

The organ-case is developed, next we build up the organ mechanic.

A little fun must be...

Mrs. Aya Yoshida visits the church with the members of "Organ autumn Nagoya". From now on they comes every day to have a look to our work at the organ.

The windchest is already build in and the assembly preceeds well.

The side parts of the housing are developed.

It´s finished: all organ-parts are in the Gikoso-Church and we can begin to build up the organ.

This is the place for the organ.

Pastor Hoshino and many assistants help us to carry the parts of the organ into the church.

Punctually at 14 o'clock the container arrived and the unload can begin.

Sunday, 26. October:

Organ building master Heinz Jaeger and Organ building master Wolgang Brommer arrived punctual in Nagoya.

15,43 o'clock:

The container leaves our workshop. We wish a good and safe voyage round the world to our organ. Further pictures then after our arrival at the 25.Oktober in Nagoya of the discharge and structure of the organ here.

Punctually around 15.30Uhr our organ was invited after Nagoya for the there Gokiso church. It preceded everything well. Here the load crew from left to right:

Martin Steiner, Andreas Reinbold, Frieder Asch, Jüren Lay, Martin Jäger, Uli Sekat, Silke Paal, Bernhard Max unn Wolfgang Brommer .

The last “small articles” - here the Subbass 16 ', the wood folder whistles and the wave boards come in the end above on the crates.

The container becomes full.

All organ parts are packed in large wooden boxes. The service life of the container amounts to 2 hours. Thus everything must be invited in good time. This only succeeds if everything is very well prepared and packed.

The container will become again cleaned and the first organ parts brought out from our Workshop. Here the packed play table.

It is so far: Punctually at 13.30 o'clock  the container moves forward at the front entrance of our workshop.

The organ is ready, the surface remains nature. Monday 8.September arrives the container. On Sunday the 25.Oktober after the service we unload our organ.

The first parts are ready and are arranged for transport by high sea-containers in the workshop.
